Facilitating the underprivileged section of the community to secure and sustainable livelihood thereby socio economic status is to be attained, the core activities, holistic perspective, would enhance the potentials of women, men and children to lead a dignified life, keeping the self reliance and overall development
OUR PROFILE
MEEL India Trust based out of Madurai, South Tamil Nadu has been operating
since 2017, intensively working for the underprivileged and social and economic
deprived section of the community of rural and urban settings. The Trust catering
to the needs of women, children and youth in the community.
In particular, MEEL Nursing Home, an arm of MEEL India Trust, has been
rendering yeoman service for the chronically ill persons for the past 5 years,
covering southern districts of Tamil Nadu. By virtue of doing noble services, about
1000 unemployed youth and women have got employment opportunities and
ensuring sustained livelihood options. These humanitarian activities were being
carried out with sheer commitments.
Apart from this, MEEL India Trust supported the academically backward youth
and women, whose educational status and employment opportunities improved
through “MEEL HEALTH INSITUTE”, an offshoot of the Trust. This activity has been
delivering tirelessly in the last 3 years- the core activities were instrumental
amongst the unemployed segment to pursue a carrier and ensuring a sustained
livelihood option
Interestingly, MEEL India Trust implemented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives with the financial support of J.K. Fenner (India) limited. The supports extended for the skill training for youth segment, focusing on operation of JCP, Pocklain, Forkuft and Hitachi. During the last year, about 100 youth were provided with skilling and capacity building as well as placement. We were privileged to have a partnership with a reputed company like J.K Fenner( India) Ltd
As we were committed towards the socially and economically backward youth, women and needy, we have had a convergence and leverages with organizations, viz; Tamil Nadu Urban Livelihood mission, Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, J.K Fenner (India) Ltd, Madurai, Dindigul and Sriperambadur units , Madurai Institute of Social Sciences, Sakthi - Vidiyal, Madurai and Shankar’s Institute, Madurai. At this juncture, we express our profound thanks to these organizations for their supports and expertise to strengthen and scale-up the welfare program exponentially.
MEEL India Trust looks forward to work with the likeminded organizations to solicit their supports to reach yet another milestone in the social work arena in ensuing period.
